Five Guys Nutrition Calculator
Building a Five Guys order can change the nutrition numbers much more than you might expect. This Five Guys Nutrition Calculator lets you build a burger, add bacon, cheese and toppings, choose fries or a milkshake, and see the estimated calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, saturated fat, sodium, sugar, fiber and cholesterol for the entire meal.
If calories are your main concern, the calculator also works as a Five Guys Calories Calculator. Instead of looking up a burger, fries and every topping separately, build the meal you actually plan to order and see everything added together. The calculator currently uses U.S. nutrition information published by Five Guys, so menu values in Canada and other countries may differ.

How to Use the Five Guys Nutrition Calculator
Start by selecting your main item. The calculator includes the regular and Little versions of the main burgers along with hot dog options.
If you order your burger or hot dog without a bun, choose the bunless option. The calculator removes the bun's nutrition from the meal rather than treating “bunless” as an entirely different food.
Next, add fries and a milkshake if they are part of your order. Switch to Full Nutrition Builder when you want to add individual burger toppings or milkshake mix-ins.
Press Calculate Five Guys Nutrition and the results combine everything you selected. You will see total calories as well as protein, carbohydrates, fat, saturated fat, sodium, sugar, fiber and cholesterol.
If you are trying to compare the meal with your overall daily energy needs, our Calorie Calculator estimates daily maintenance calories and calorie targets.
Five Guys Nutrition Chart
A nutrition chart is useful for comparing individual menu components before building an entire meal. Five Guys publishes detailed U.S. nutrition information that separates burger patties, buns, fries, toppings and milkshake ingredients.
According to the published U.S. nutrition guide used for this calculator, one hamburger patty contains 302 calories and 16 grams of protein, while the bun contains 240 calories. A slice of cheese contributes about 70 calories, although some nutrition values such as sodium and protein vary slightly by supplier.
| Item | Calories | Protein | Carbs | Fat | Sodium |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hamburger Patty | 302 | 16 g | 0 g | 17 g | 50 mg |
| Bun | 240 | 7 g | 39 g | 9 g | 330 mg |
| Cheese Slice | 70 | 3–4 g | About 1 g or less | 6 g | 300–330 mg |
| Bacon, 2 pieces | About 70 | About 5–6 g | 0 g | About 5–6 g | About 210 mg |
| Little Fries | 526 | 8 g | 72 g | 23 g | 531 mg |
| Regular Fries | 953 | 15 g | 131 g | 41 g | 962 mg |
| Large Fries | 1,314 | 20 g | 181 g | 57 g | 1,327 mg |
| Vanilla Shake Base | 670 | 13 g | 84 g | 32 g | 360 mg |

Five Guys Burger Calories
The biggest distinction to understand when looking at Five Guys burger calories is the difference between a regular burger and a Little burger.
The regular hamburger uses two beef patties, while a Little Hamburger uses one. That changes calories, protein and fat before cheese, bacon, sauces or other toppings are considered.
Five Guys' published menu lists a Little Hamburger at about 540 calories and a regular Hamburger at about 840 calories before additional toppings. The menu lists the Little Cheeseburger around 610 calories and Cheeseburger around 980 calories.
The component-based calculator above may occasionally differ by a few calories from the rounded menu total because it adds the published nutrition values of the individual components. That is useful when customizing a meal, but it is also why the result should be treated as an estimate rather than a laboratory measurement of the burger in your hand.
How Many Calories Are in a Five Guys Hamburger?
The U.S. menu lists the regular Hamburger at approximately 840 calories. Because it contains two patties, it also provides substantially more protein than a single-patty Little Hamburger.
Five Guys Cheeseburger Calories
The regular Cheeseburger is listed around 980 calories on the published U.S. menu. Cheese adds calories, fat, protein and sodium, so removing cheese changes more than the calorie number alone.
Five Guys Bacon Cheeseburger Calories
The Bacon Cheeseburger is one of the more calorie-dense standard burger choices because it combines two beef patties, cheese, bacon and the bun before any sauces or other toppings are added.
If you are monitoring weight over time rather than only one restaurant meal, the Weight Loss Progress Calculator can help put longer-term changes into perspective.
Five Guys Fries Calories
Fries can be one of the largest sources of calories in a Five Guys order.
The published U.S. nutrition guide lists Little Five Guys Style Fries at 526 calories, Regular at 953 calories and Large at 1,314 calories.
That means moving from Regular to Little fries changes the published serving by more than 400 calories. For someone primarily trying to reduce the total calories in an order, fry size can therefore have a larger effect than removing several low-calorie vegetable toppings.
Five Guys Cajun Fries Calories
The official nutrition guide lists Little Cajun Style Fries at 540 calories, Regular at 967 calories and Large at 1,328 calories. Cajun seasoning also increases the published sodium compared with the corresponding Five Guys Style serving.
Five Guys states that its fries are cooked in refined peanut oil. Anyone managing food allergies should use the restaurant's current allergen information rather than relying on a calorie calculator alone.
Five Guys Toppings Calories
One useful part of building the meal ingredient by ingredient is seeing how different the toppings are nutritionally.
Many vegetable toppings contribute relatively few calories. The published guide lists lettuce and green peppers at only a few calories per serving, while tomatoes and onions remain relatively low as well.
Sauces are different. Mayonnaise is listed at roughly 100–111 calories depending on supplier. Ketchup contributes around 30 calories, BBQ sauce about 49 calories and A.1. sauce about 15 calories in the published portions.
Calories are not the only thing that changes. Some sauces and toppings contribute relatively little energy while adding a meaningful amount of sodium. That is why the calculator shows sodium separately instead of reducing the entire meal to one calorie number.
Five Guys Milkshake Calories
The U.S. nutrition guide lists the vanilla shake base at 670 calories before mix-ins.
Mix-ins can change that number quickly. The published portions include about 120 calories for Oreo cookie pieces, 150 for Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, 155 for salted caramel and more than 300 calories for either the published peanut butter or Oreo crème portions.
This is why the Full Nutrition Builder treats each mix-in separately. A shake with multiple additions can be nutritionally very different from the base shake.
Five Guys Protein, Carbs and Macros
Calories tell you how much energy a food provides, but they do not tell you where that energy comes from. Looking at protein, carbohydrates and fat gives a more complete picture of a meal.
A hamburger patty in the U.S. guide contains 16 grams of protein and no carbohydrates. The bun contributes 39 grams of carbohydrates and 7 grams of protein. A regular order of Five Guys Style fries is listed with 131 grams of carbohydrates, 41 grams of fat and 15 grams of protein.
Someone choosing food based primarily on protein may therefore make very different changes than someone focusing only on calories. Removing a beef patty cuts calories but also removes protein. Removing a calorie-heavy sauce can lower calories without making the same reduction in protein.
For a broader look at body weight relative to height, you can also use our BMI Calculator. BMI and restaurant nutrition answer different questions, but both can be useful pieces of a larger health picture.
How Much Sodium Is in Five Guys?
Sodium can climb quickly when several menu components are combined.
For example, the bun is listed at 330 milligrams of sodium. Cheese is approximately 300–330 milligrams per slice depending on supplier. A hot dog can contain substantially more sodium, and sauces such as BBQ sauce, A.1., ketchup and hot sauce contribute additional sodium.
The official U.S. nutrition guide references 2,300 milligrams of sodium as the recommended daily limit used with a 2,000-calorie diet. Individual nutrition requirements can differ, so anyone who has been given a medical sodium target should follow advice from their healthcare professional.
How Many Calories Are in a Five Guys Meal?
There is no single answer because “a Five Guys meal” could mean anything from a bunless Little Hamburger to a Bacon Cheeseburger with fries, sauces and a loaded milkshake.
This is exactly why I wanted the calculator to work as a meal builder rather than publish one generic number. Select what you actually order and the calculator adds the components instead of assuming everyone eats the same combination.
If your job is physically demanding and you are also curious about energy expenditure, the Calories Burned at Work Calculator estimates calorie burn from shift length, body weight and work activity.
How to Build a Lower-Calorie Five Guys Order
If the goal is simply to reduce the calorie total while still ordering at Five Guys, the calculator makes the biggest differences easy to spot.
- Compare a Little burger with the two-patty regular version.
- Try the burger bunless and compare the result.
- Compare Little fries with Regular or Large fries.
- Use vegetable toppings freely in the calculator and compare them with mayonnaise or calorie-dense sauces.
- Compare the meal with and without cheese or bacon.
- Look at the shake separately before adding multiple mix-ins.
- Pay attention to sodium as well as calories if sodium intake matters to you.
This does not mean the lowest-calorie order is automatically the best order for every person. Hunger, protein needs, dietary preferences, medical considerations and overall food intake matter too. The purpose of the calculator is to show the numbers clearly so you can make your own comparison.
What Surprised Me While Building This Calculator
When I started putting this page together, I expected the burger to dominate almost every meal total. What surprised me was how much the fries can change the numbers.
A regular order of fries is listed at 953 calories in the U.S. nutrition guide. I had to double-check that number because it means the fries alone can contain more calories than some of the burgers on the menu.
The second thing that stood out was the difference between toppings. It is easy to think “toppings are toppings,” but lettuce or peppers barely move the calorie total while mayonnaise changes it by more than 100 calories. Then there are toppings that do not add many calories but can add a noticeable amount of sodium.
That changed how I wanted this calculator to work. A simple list of burger calories would have been much easier to build, but it would miss the interesting part: the final meal depends on the choices around the burger just as much as the burger itself.
I also wanted the results to show more than calories. If I am comparing two meals, I want to see what happened to protein, carbs, fat and sodium when I changed an ingredient. That is much more useful to me than a single number with no explanation behind it.
Five Guys Nutrition Information Can Vary
Five Guys itself explains that its nutrition information is based on representative supplier values, published resources, industry-standard analysis and testing. It also says its menu items are made to order by hand, which can cause serving-size variation.
Supplier differences are visible in the official nutrition chart as well. Bacon, cheese, mayonnaise, pickles and some other ingredients can have more than one supplier entry with slightly different nutrition values.
For that reason, this calculator should be viewed as a planning and comparison tool rather than a guarantee that a restaurant meal contains an exact number of calories or milligrams of sodium.
U.S. vs. Canadian Five Guys Nutrition
This calculator currently uses the U.S. nutrition dataset. Do not assume every value is identical in Canada, Europe or other markets.
Five Guys publishes region-specific information because suppliers, serving specifications and menu items can differ. Canadian visitors can check the Five Guys Canada nutrition information when they need region-specific figures.
Five Guys Calories vs. Your Daily Calories
A restaurant meal only represents part of a person's total food intake. Comparing one meal with somebody else's calorie target can therefore be misleading.
If you want an estimate based on your own age, height, weight and activity level, calculate your daily needs separately with the Calorie Calculator, then use the meal total above as one piece of that daily intake.
People who regularly buy restaurant meals during work can also use the Work Lunch Spending Calculator to estimate the financial side of the habit rather than only the nutrition side.
Five Guys Allergens
This page is a nutrition calculator, not an allergen checker.
Five Guys publishes separate allergen information and warns that cross-contact can occur. Its U.S. nutrition guide identifies allergens associated with individual ingredients, and the company recommends reviewing its current information when food allergies are a concern.
Five Guys also states that its fries are made from potatoes and cooked in refined peanut oil in dedicated fryers. Because allergies can be serious, always verify current restaurant information directly rather than relying on a third-party calculator.
You can review the Five Guys Nutrition & Allergy Information before ordering.

Final Thoughts
The useful thing about Five Guys nutrition information is how customizable the menu is. The difficult thing is that the same customization makes it hard to answer a simple question such as “How many calories are in my Five Guys meal?” without knowing what was actually ordered.
Use the Five Guys Nutrition Calculator above to build the meal ingredient by ingredient. If you only care about calories, use the large calorie total. If you want more detail, compare protein, carbs, fat, saturated fat, sodium, sugar, fiber and cholesterol as you change the order.
For the most current restaurant information, especially when allergies or dietary restrictions are involved, verify your choices with Five Guys directly. Nutrition calculators are useful for planning, but a hand-prepared restaurant meal will never be as mathematically exact as the number on a screen.
